DAY 2 Sight seeing at Cochin Country Craft Cruise as Special After breakfast, proceed on a guided tour in and around Cochin. See the historic Dutch Palace – a tribute to the relationship between the two cultures during the previous centuries. We will also see the only Jewish Synagogue in India at Mattancherry; only one direct descendant of the family that set up this shrine is now alive. Later we
will visit St.Francis church-where Portughese invador Vascoge Gama was
buried-,Santha cruz Baselica,Chinese fishing nets etc –all are located
at Fort Cochin. Reach back mainland Cochin by noon. Next get ready for a too-good-to-believe experience – a country craft canal cruise out of suburban Cochin to the interiors. DAY 3 Onto Munnar(130 Kms-3.30 Hrs) At the Mid of Tea Gardens After breakfast, we leave Cochin early in the morning for a long but scenic drive to Munnar – Kerala's tea garden hill station. The Travelling time is 3.30 Hrs. You will reach Munnar by noon. Check into your resort. Rest of the day for Shopping & Tea garden visit. Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your resort. DAY 4 At the Cool Heaven Enjoy Munnar's Splendours After breakfast, we proceed on a daylong sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit the Eravikulam National Park
– home to the endangered mountain goat species, the Nilgiri Tahr. Take
snaps of the frolicsome and rather friendly goats. Admire the valley in
front of you. Next
to Top-station, the highest point in Munnar and the place where you
find an abundance of Nilakurinji plants, which flowers only once in
twelve years. overnight stay at your resort. DAY 5 Onto Periyar (100 Kms-3.30 Hrs) Enjoy Pleasure Boating,Elephant Safari After breakfast, we drive to Periyar, hometown of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. On
your way to Periyar, travel through spectacularly beautiful scenic
splendours. The Munnar-Thekkady route is considered among the best
tourist circuits in India. On arrival at Thekkady, check into the Periyar Jungle Resort. There is time for relaxation. Later we take you to enjoy a rather unusual way of exploring a wild reserve – aboard a boat. The picturesque Periyar Lake
is a beautiful setting. Your boat ride affords views of elephant herds
and bison. If you are lucky enough you can spot more exotic animals.
