Day 1

Arrive at Madras

On to Mahabalipuram

Hearty welcome to Madras.Our Representative will receive you at the Airport.

You will be transferred to a dream beach resort at Mamallapuram( 60 kms)

Reach Mahabalipuram by noon &check in to the resort.. 

Enjoy the sun and surf anywhere at the twenty-kilometre stretch of Golden beach.Rest of the day is free for independent activities.

Day 2

At Mamamallapuram

Explore the city

After Breakfast, set out to enjoy the seventh century town, which has a vast beach line. On a sightseeing tour, marvel at the stone-made sculptures, caves, chariots and temples of the Pallava period.

You will also visit Arjuna's Penance - the largest bas-relief in the world.

Rest of the day is free to enjoy the Beach…

Come back to your resort for a refreshing dinner.

Day 3

On to Madurai by flight

After breakfast proceed to Chennai airport for catch the flight to Madurai.

Our friendly Representative will be waiting for you at the Madurai Airport.

And transferred to the hotel,

Check into your hotel, on arrival and relax.

Rest of the day you will be free for shopping.

Overnight at your hotel.

Day 4

At Madurai

Enjoy Sightseeing tour.

After breakfast proceed for a sightseeing tour in Madurai, visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple. There are four entrances to this amazing temple complex set in six hectares. Marvel at the truly majestic towers, twelve of them, pointing skywards at 45 to 50 metres.

Beat some of the stone pillars in the complex with any hard object and feel incredible on hearing sweet metal sounds. You now know why they are called musical pillars. By the way, the total number of pillars in the temple is a staggering one thousand.

Enjoy a light and sound spectacle and back to the hotel by evening.

DAY 5

Onto Periyar

Enjoy Pleasure Boating

After breakfast, we drive to Periyar, hometown of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

On arrival at Thekkady, check into the Periyar Jungle Resort. There is time for relaxation.

Later we take you to enjoy a rather unusual way of exploring a wild reserve – aboard a boat.

The picturesque Periyar Lake is a beautiful setting. Your boat ride affords views of elephant herds and bison. If you are lucky enough you can spot more exotic animals. Don’t forget to take your binoculars!

DAY 6

At Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary

Enjoy Day Tours

Today we go on trekking trails that take us closer to the majestic Nature in this area – an exciting experience.

Later, visit a cardamom-curing centre to get a feel of spice industry based here.

At last if time permits have an Elephant Safari too!

DAY 7

Onto Kumarakom

Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

After breakfast, we proceed to Kumarakom – the spectacular and inviting backwater destination.

Arrive at Kumarakom by noon. Check into the Kumarakom Backwater Resort. The rest of the day is your canvas to draw the amazing backwater experiences possible here.

We now take you to view the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary located in an island in the backwaters. Watch exotic birds, the migratory Siberian Stork among them, lead their normal lives unaware of you or your binoculars.

After breakfast, we set out on a memorable day & night houseboat cruise, which will eventually take us to Alleppey

See some of the most spectacular backwater scenery in the world. Enjoy the excellent amenities of your boat.

Feel enchanted by the waterways and the charming views.

We continue our journey to Alleppey .In the night, the boat drops anchor in the backwaters, signalling the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you. Enjoy the fabulous sensations of mysterious night sounds.

Day 10

Arrive at Alleppey

Proceed to Cochin

Awake early to experience a magical backwater morning. Shortly you’ll resume your journey to Cochin.

Check into your hotel, on arrival

Till evening, the day is free for you to relax.

In the evening, we take you to witness one of the most colourful and exquisite performing arts in the world – Kathakali. After two hours of glorious entertainment, remember to get photographed with the Kathakali performer.

Enjoy your first Kerala dinner on this tour and overnight stay at your hotel.

DAY 11

Sight seeing at Cochin

Country Craft Cruise as Special

After breakfast, proceed on a guided boat tour in and around Cochin. This is possible because our sights are all accessible by water.

See the historic Dutch Palace – a tribute to the relationship between the two cultures during the previous centuries.

We will also see the only Jewish Synagogue in India at Mattancherry; only one direct descendant of the family that set up this shrine is now alive.

Reach back mainland Cochin by noon. Enjoy your lunch.

Next get ready for a too-good-to-believe experience – a country craft canal cruise out of suburban Cochin to the interiors. In course of your expedition, peep at the rural Kerala life from close quarters. Enjoy the peace.

We get back to your hotel by evening. You are free to explore the streets downtown on your own.

Day 12

On to Kovalam

After breakfast drive to Kovalam-most beautiful beach destination of Kerala.

Check in to the hotel on arrival.

The rest of the day is yours to chart an unforgettable beach holiday. Feel secure because Kovalam, because of its natural location, is considered one of the safest beaches in the world.

Day 13

A Full Day Excurion

Onto Kanyakumari

After breakfast, we drive to Kanyakumari – the confluence of three oceans and the land’s end of India.

Arrive at Kanyakumari by afternoon. Later, we take you to the ferry for the short crossing to the giant rock formation on which stands the Vivekananda Memorial. It is 200 metres above the shoreline. See the spot where Vivekananda – the great Indian philosopher – sat in deep meditation in the late nineteenth century.

In the evening, we take you to the seashore to witness an ethereally beautiful sunset.

Back to Kovalam by night &Enjoy overnight stay at your hotel.

Day 14

Onto Trivandrum

Return home with wonderful memories

After breakfast, we drive to Trivandrum. It is time to say goodbye to a once-in-a-lifetime holiday.

We take you to the airport in time to catch your flight. Hope you would come again for another Languid Lagoona experience!
