DAY 1

Begin your Tour at Kerala

Arrive into Cochin

Our friendly Representative will be waiting for you at the Airport.

We welcome you to Cochin – the tropical paradise of India.

Check into your hotel.

Afternoon proceed on a guided tour in and around Cochin. See the historic Dutch Palace – a tribute to the relationship between the two cultures during the previous centuries.

We will also see the only Jewish Synagogue in India at Mattancherry; only one direct descendant of the family that set up this shrine is now alive.

In the evening, we take you to witness one of the most colourful and exquisite performing arts in the world – Kathakali. After two hours of glorious entertainment, remember to get photographed with the Kathakali performer.

Day 2

Onto Periyar(190 kMs-4.30 Hrs)

Enjoy Pleasure Boating

After breakfast, we drive to Periyar, hometown of the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.

.On arrival at Thekkady, check into the Periyar Jungle Resort. There is time for relaxation.

Later we take you to enjoy a rather unusual way of exploring a wild reserve – aboard a boat.

The picturesque Periyar Lake is a beautiful setting. Your boat ride affords views of elephant herds and bison. If you are lucky enough you can spot more exotic animals. Don’t forget to take your binoculars!

Enjoy dinner and overnight stay at your resort.

DAY 3

Experience Bullock Cart Safari

Spice Plantation  Tour

Get up early and get ready for a Bullock Kart Safari through the Villages of Periyar. Visit the farmlands of a village hidden in the valley behind the mountains of Periyar Tiger Reserve in a bullock cart.

The village is rich in bird diversity (New explorations for a serious bird watcher, also wonderful beginning for a novice)

With vineyards, diverse agricultural crops of mangoes, tamarind, onions, sunflower, jasmine and a score of other vegetables, the village will take your breath away when the guides start to interpret how farming has woven delicately with the culture and the life of the natives.

To feel the slow pace of the village life, to be part of the innocence, to take away you between cock and stick fights, to quench the thirst with the nectar from tender coconuts.

Conducted by a group of people who were encaged in sandalwood smuggling, later surrendered before the Forest Department .The profit from this programme goes to rehabilitate this group of people.

In the afternoon you can be back to the Sanctuary site.

Next we go on for a Spice Tour that take us closer to the majestic Nature in this area – an exciting experience.

DAY 4

Onto Kumarakom (125 Kms-3.30 Hrs)

Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

After breakfast, we proceed to Kumarakom – the spectacular and inviting backwater destination.

Arrive at Kumarakom by noon. Check into the Kumarakom Backwater Resort. The rest of the day is your canvas to draw the amazing backwater experiences possible here.

We now take you to view the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary located in an island in the backwaters. Watch exotic birds, the migratory Siberian Stork among them, lead their normal lives unaware of you or your binoculars.

DAY 5

See Real Village life;Check into Houseboat

Enjoy Night in the backwaters

After breakfast, we set out on a memorable day & night houseboat cruise, which will eventually take us to Alleppey

See some of the most spectacular backwater scenery in the world. Enjoy the excellent amenities of your boat.

Feel enchanted by the waterways and the charming views.

We continue our journey to Alleppey .In the night, the boat drops anchor in the backwaters, signalling the beginning of a once-in-a-lifetime experience for you. Enjoy the fabulous sensations of mysterious night sounds.

Enjoy a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay on board.

DAY6

On to Cochin(65 Kms-1.30 Hrs)

Return Home!

In the morning the boat will reach at Alleppey.After breakfast, we check out of your House boat  to begin our journey back to Cochin. Arrive at Cochin and directy proceed to the Airport to catch the Flight.

Food

In all Hotels & Resorts Food will be on Bed & Breakfast Basis ( CP) unless specified .But as  Houseboat is included in the Tour,three times Meals will be served onboard as there is no chance to get Food from elsewhere.

The Guests have to specify the Type of Food they need before they check into the Houseboat.
