 HALEBID:
Halebid is located about 32 kms from Hassan and 16 kms east of Belur.
The most remarkable monument in Halebid is Hoysaleswara Temple, which actually comprises of two temples standing on a single platform. It is said that it took about 90 years to construct these temples and are still incomplete.
Also check out the Kedareswara Temple with star-shaped pillars and carved ceilings. Also Basadi Halli, a group of Jain temples, famous for their highly polished Blackstone pillars and carved ceilings.
