GURUVAYOOR:
It is one of the biggest temples in India among Badari, Puri, and Tirupati. The deity is Lord Maha Vishnu with four arms, even though the devotees worship him as Lord Krishna, the complete man incarnation of Lord Maha Vishnu. The power of the deity makes the glory and greatness of this temple special.
In Kerala, this is probably the only temple that hosts the maximum number of marriages and rice feeding ceremonies. The historic temple is shrouded in mystery.
Punnathoorkotta, which is at a distance of 2 kms from Guruvayoor is home of 50 temple elephants and offers unusual spectacles of the gentle pachyderm.
